This week has seen the final completion and handover of a very special project.
In conjunction with the University of York, Newell’s were tasked to construct two state of the art sound booths internally within the existing facility.
Providing these acoustically perfect rooms was certainly challenging, with over 78 tonnes of concrete blocks installed over a 4 week period, with a further 8 tonnes of cement board, ply, and various insulation materials, completing the roof works for the enabling package.
The rooms were then made ready and handed over for the interior fit out by the department's specialist acoustics teams.
