Newells Awarded Tender

Newell’s Projects are pleased to announce the award of the Mining Block Structural & Fabric Repairs Project, for the prestigious University of Sheffield.

The Mappin Mining Block, a purpose built higher education building constructed in the early 20th Century, situated centrally within the St Georges complex of buildings, at the heart of the University of Sheffield Engineering Campus.

Works to be undertaken include the replacement of flat roof coverings, reconstruction of masonry parapet walls, replacement of windows, roof lights and all associated works. This to give the building a refresh bringing up to date, as it richly deserves.

The Project will be undertaken under the guidance of Castle Owen, Dice & Omega Consulting Ltd.
