Scope
Work included the refurbishment of a former office space into teaching space for the School of Architecture. The refurbishment included 2 floors with new floor finishes throughout, complete redecoration and office remodelling. This included a new mechanical ventilation system, lighting scheme, power and data to suit new desk layout.
Due to the existing space having an exposed concrete soffit, an extensive baffle scheme was introduced which included the installation of over 350 baffles throughout the floors to improve the acoustic performance of the new teaching areas, while maintaining the ‘rustic’ industrial feel to the floor space.
The project was completed within budget and on time for the start of the new academic year.
